Keira Knightley's work was honored by the Queen

Keira Knightley received an OBE (Officer of the most excellent Order of the British Empire) for her services to drama and charity, after partnering with charities including WaterAid and Oxfam. An OBE is a Queen's honour given to an individual for a major local role in any activity such as business, charity or the public sector.

Keira's acting creer has spanned almost two decades, and has worked in movies such as "Love Actually", "Pirates Of The Caribbean", "Pride & Prejudice, "Anna Karenina", "The Imitation Game" and "Atonement". Two-time Oscar nominee Knightley, 33, was named in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list as a recipient of the honour, more than 15 years after her breakthrough role in "Bend It Like Beckham".The Prince of Wales held the investiture on behalf of the Queen, at Buckingham Palace, on 13th December.

Knightley, who is the face of a Chanel perfume, wore a pale yellow suit and matching hat from the French fashion house, complete with a thick belt and bow around the collar of the shirt. She was joined by husband James Righton and her parents Sharman Macdonald and Will Knightley at the ceremony.

She is one of my favourite british actresses. I think I've watched almost every film she's in, and as so, I want to remind all of you a little bit of her work.
