That’s how I feel about the theme Royalty in general… It really is like a crush to me, since the days my grandmother told the loveliest stories about the royal family when I was a little girl. I love the history behind it, I love the evolution of it, and above all, I have a profound admiration for the woman responsible for the whole idea of monarchy we have today, the Queen. She is the heart of it all. She is the face and she is the reason of it all at the same time. Would England be the same without her? Would the world be the same without her existence? I really don’t think so… Actually, i’m sure of it without doubt.
It’s not every woman that that takes charge of a whole country and community at the age of 25, when she never dreamed of becoming queen. It’s not every woman that has a stomach to say ‘No’ to the members of her own family in very difficult times, against her own feelings. It’s not every Queen that learns how to drive to assist during the Second World War. It’s not every queen that goes out of the palace to celebrate the end of the war with the rest of the country. It’s not every woman that has the courage to stop dyeing Her hair at the age of 50. It’s not every 91 years old woman that rides a horse or that knows how to dare fashion moments with the most colourful outfits. It’s not every woman that breaks all records with the longest reign ever.
And that woman I’ve had the great pleasure and honour to see in real life... but that’s another story I have to tell you later in this blog.
Although Queen Elizabeth II is the major symbol of British royalty, there’s much more inside of it. There’s a whole family to be aware of. And I must confess, I truly admire some of them. There’s Prince Harry, Prince William, Kate Middleton, or the youngest members Charlotte and George... the new generation.
It’s about all of them, I’ll be writing in this section.
É assim que me sinto sobre o tema Realeza em geral ... É quase que uma paixão, desde os dias em que a minha avó me contava as mais maravilhosas histórias sobre a família real, quando eu era pequena. Adoro toda a história por detrás, adoro a evolução e, acima de tudo, tenho uma profunda admiração pela mulher responsável por toda o conceito de monarquia que temos hoje, a Rainha Isabel II. Ela é o coração de tudo. Ela é o rosto e ela é a razão de tudo ao mesmo tempo. Inglaterra seria a mesma sem ela? O mundo seria o mesmo sem a sua existência? Penso que não... Na verdade, tenho certeza disso.
Não é toda a mulher que carrega o peso de todo um país e comunidade aos 25 anos, quando nunca sonhou em se tornar rainha. Não é toda a mulher que tem estômago para dizer "Não" aos membros de sua própria família em momentos tremendamente difíceis, indo contra os seus próprios sentimentos. Não é toda a rainha que aprende a conduzir para ajudar durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Não é toda a rainha que sai do palácio para comemorar o fim da guerra com o seu povo nas ruas. Não é toda a mulher que tem a coragem de deixar de pintar o cabelo aos 50 anos de idade. Não é toda a mulher de 91 anos que monta um cavalo ou sabe ser arriscada na forma como se veste com os trajes mais coloridos. Não é toda a mulher que quebra todos os records com o reinado mais longo de sempre.
E essa mulher tive o enorme prazer e a honra de poder ver na vida real... mas essa é outra história que eu tenho que contar mais à frente aqui no blog. Embora a rainha Isabel II seja o símbolo máximo da realeza britânica, há muito mais além dela. Há toda uma família. E devo confessar que admiro verdadeiramente alguns deles. Existe o Príncipe Harry, o Príncipe William, Kate Middleton, ou os membros mais jovens Charlotte e George... a nova geração.
