This is one of the best initiatives I have ever seen... Eveyone is aware of the harsh winter we've been through. Europe has had the most freezeing days in decades... but we all have homes.
Can we imagine what it is to not have a place to warm us, to spend entire nights in the streets, in the cold?...
Well, it was thinking about that, that a volunteer group decided to raise awareness of homelessness by tying clothing items to trees, lamp posts and benches, for people to take and use. The idea started in 2017 by Keep Bristol Warm, and has been adopted in other cities across the UK.
This deserves an applause!
Esta é uma das melhores iniciativas que vi nos últimos tempos... Todos temos a noção do inverno rigoroso que passámos. A Europa registou os dias mais gelados das últimas décadas ... mas todos nós temos casas.
Conseguem imaginar o que é não ter um lugar para nos aquecer, passar noites inteiras nas ruas, ao frio? ...
Bom, foi a pensar nisso, que um grupo de voluntários decidiu aumentar a consciencialização sobre os sem-abrigo, atando peças de roupa em árvores, postes de luzes e bancos, para que as pessoas que vivem nas ruas pudessem usá-las. A ideia começou em 2017 através da Keep Bristol Warm e foi adotada noutras cidades do Reino Unido.
A iniciativa merece um aplauso!
