This morning, I went to try the famous Amélia Lisboa Café. This is the spot of the moment in the city of Lisbon and is located in Campo de Ourique (Rua Ferreira Borges, 101).
I must say that it did not disappoint me, quite the opposite! Lots of positives to note: from the wonderful decor, to the delicious food, to the service and even the quality / price.
And why Amelia? Amelia is the girlfriend of Nicolau, another café in Lisbon located in Rua de São Nicolau, 17, in the Chiado area.
There are several salads such as shrimp with black rice, mango and salted curcuma granola (9 €) or Middle Eastern with chicken, couscous, pomegranate, sweet cucumber and feta cheese (8,50 €), as well as bowls - like flower power, vegan, with chickpeas sauteed with beetroot hummus, spinach and avocado. There is also the Amelia burger, grilled with avocado, caramelized onion and curry mayonnaise (€ 7.50). And the egg offerings are also great: served on seed bread with tomatoes, sautéed spinach and curcuma hummus (6 €) and shakshuka (the next one I will have to try !!!) with poached eggs in spicy tomato sauce and vegetables (€ 7.50).
A € 14 brunch is available every day and any time: pancake, yogurt with fruit and granola, orange juice, avocado or smoked salmon toast, coffee, tea or hot chocolate. From the sweets we can highlight the pancakes (from € 4), oat waffles with strawberries and cream or with banana and hot chocolate (€ 6) and french toast with red fruits, yoghurt, maple syrup and pistachio (€ 4.50) .
I tried a tapioca with scrambled eggs and avocado ... I loved it and I was super satisfied with it. I will have to repeat !!
Esta manhã, fui experimentar o famoso Amélia Lisboa Café. É o spot do momento na cidade de Lisboa e fica situado na zona de Campo de Ourique (Rua Ferreira Borges, 101).
Devo dizer que não me desiludiu, muito pelo contrário! Muitos pontos positivos a assinalar: desde a decoração maravilhosa, à comida deliciosa, ao serviço e até mesmo a qualidade/preço.
E porquê Amélia? Amélia é a namorada do Nicolau, um outro café de Lisboa situado na Rua de São Nicolau, 17, na zona do Chiado.
Há várias saladas, como a de camarão com arroz negro, manga e granola salgada de curcuma (9€) ou a do Médio Oriente, com frango, cuscuz, romã, pepino doce e queijo feta (8,50€), assim como bowls – como a flower power, vegan, com grão de bico salteado com hummus de beterraba, espinafres e abacate. Há também o hambúrguer Amélia, grelhado com abacate, cebola caramelizada e maionese de caril (7,50€). E a oferta de ovos também é grande: servidos em pão de sementes com tomate, espinafres salteados e hummus de curcuma (6€) e a shakshuka (a próxima que terei de experimentar!!!) com ovos escalfados em molho de tomate picante e vegetais (7,50€).
O brunch por 14€ há todos os dias e a qualquer hora: panqueca, taça de iogurte com fruta e granola, sumo de laranja, tosta de abacate ou de salmão fumado, café, chá ou chocolate quente. Dos doces podemos destacar as panquecas (desde 4€), as waffles de aveia com morango e natas ou com banana e chocolate quente (6€) e french toast com frutos vermelhos, iogurte, xarope de ácer e pistácio (4,50€).
Eu experimentei uma tapioca com ovos mexidos e abacate... adorei e fiquei super satisfeita. Vou ter mesmo que repetir!!
