2018 was full of great movies, but 2019 is not going to stay behind. Believe me! So, here we go... I'm going to show you the films I'm dying to watch this year
MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS
This is a very interesting story, a real story that makes part of Britain's history. Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie go head to head. Ronan plays the character of Mary and Robbie her cousin Queen Elizabeth I. Basically, Mary attempts to overthrow her cousin and ascend to England's throne. Saoirse Ronan is one of my favourite actresses. She has been playing great roles, lately, and she seems to choose her roles very carefuly. As for Robbie, this role represents one of her major physical transformations.

THE FAVOURITE
The Favourite is a comedy set in the court of Queen Anne – the capricious, sickly monarch played by Olivia Colman (who will further her royal duties in season three of The Crown). The cousins, Abigail (Emma Stone) and Sarah (Rachel Weisz), compete for their ruler’s affections, stopping at nothing to best each other and win the Queen’s heart. The movie is gaining momentum as an Oscar contender, and leads the pack with the most nominations at the British Independent Film Awards. Colman – who shines as the insecure, easily wounded monarch – may even win the Academy Award. She did take home the best-actress prize at the Venice Film Festival, after all.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD
Well... the most desired pair is just arriving. This film is the dream of every women... why? Because it reunites Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. OMG... is there anything better than that?! And if his claims about retirement are to be believed, this will be also Quentin Tarantino’s penultimate movie. This is a tale of a washed-up actor and his stuntman trying to transition from television to film in 1969. Margot Robbie also stars as their next-door neighbour Sharon Tate, the woman who was brutally murdered by the Manson family cult. Other cast members include Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning and Lena Dunham. What a great cast!

COLETTE
The dying wish of the "Still Alice" screenwriter was that his husband, Wash Westmoreland, would direct Colette. Three years later, his dream comes to reality. Keira Knightley takes on the title role of the acclaimed French writer in the biopic. Colette is a simple-pleasures country girl who discovers the lavishness of Parisian high society when she marries Willy (Dominic West), an oafish boor determined to enter the literary elite at any cost. Undeterred by his own lack of talent, he achieves success though his wife, locking her in rooms to write, then appropriating her work. But Colette is a woman far from submissive. She is spirited, sarcastic and sexually explorative. A thoroughly modern heroine.

STAN&OLLIE
Stan & Ollie is a biopic, comedy and drama based on the lives of comedy duo Laurel & Hardy. The film stars Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly as Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. The two embarked on a long journey on their Great Breath Tour in 1953, seeking to put their careers back in the spotlight, even as the world was still shaken by the effects of World War II.

MARIA, RAINHA DOS ESCOCESES Esta é uma história muito interessante, real e que faz parte da história da Grã-Bretanha. Saoirse Ronan e Margot Robbie estão frente a frente. Ronan interpreta a personagem de Mary e Robbie, a da sua prima Queen Elizabeth I. Basicamente, Mary tenta derrubar prima e ascender ao trono de Inglaterra. Saoirse Ronan é uma das minhas atrizes preferidas. Ultimamente, tem desempenhado grandes papéis, e parece saber escolhê-los a dedo.
